Position: VOLUNTEER, Photographer/Videographer, Marketing Team (2 positions)

 Status: Part-Time, Volunteer
Weekly Time Commitment: 5–10 hours
Location: Primarily Remote (Toronto-based for in-person events)
Department: MAX Marketing
Reports To: Lead, MAX Marketing

Role Overview

The MAX Marketing team is seeking a Video Content Creator / Photographer & Videographer Volunteer to support the creation of compelling visual content across MAX’s digital platforms. This role is ideal for a creative individual with a strong eye for storytelling who enjoys capturing live moments, professional events, and community engagement through photo and video.

The volunteer will be responsible for capturing, editing, and delivering visual assets that support marketing campaigns, social media, and event promotion, working closely with the Marketing team through flexible, one-on-one collaboration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality photography and video at MAX events, panels, and community gatherings
  • Create short-form video content, highlight reels, and event recaps for social media and digital platforms
  • Edit raw photo and video assets into polished, platform-ready content aligned with MAX brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to plan shot lists, creative direction, and content needs
  • Maintain organized libraries of photo and video asset
  • Support visual content needs for campaigns, announcements, and promotional initiatives
  • Participate in in-person events in Toronto for content capture (strongly encouraged)


Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience or strong interest in photography, videography, and video content creation
  • Proficiency with cameras (DSLR, mirrorless, or equivalent) and basic lighting/audio setups
  • Proficiency with editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Lightroom, or similar
  • Ability to commit 5–10 hours per week on a flexible schedule
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently while maintaining high attention to detail and visual consistency
  • Familiarity with social media formats (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) is a strong asset


Portfolio Requirement

  • A portfolio is required and must include relevant digital and print design samples
  • Portfolio may be submitted as a website link or PDF
