Job Summary:
The Architectural Sales Representative is responsible for driving specifications and sales of landscape and outdoor construction products by building strong relationships with landscape architects, designers, civil engineers, developers, municipalities, and contractors. Job Summary:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred
- 2–5+ years of experience in landscape, hardscape, building materials, or construction sales
- Working knowledge of landscape construction processes
- Ability to read and interpret landscape and civil drawings
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office (knowledge of Designing software a plus)
- Promote and secure product specifications with landscape architecture and design firms
- Conduct in-person presentations, CEU sessions, and lunch-and-learns
- Provide technical product information, samples, and specification language
- Assist designers with product selection, detailing, and compliance requirements
- Identify new project opportunities in commercial, municipal, education, hospitality, and residential development markets
- Build and maintain relationships with landscape architects, planners, civil engineers, and developers
- Track projects from early design through bidding and installation
- Collaborate with contractors and distributors to ensure successful project execution
- Interpret landscape plans, grading plans, and construction details
- Provide take-offs, budgets, and preliminary estimates when required
- Ensure products meet local codes, ADA requirements, sustainability standards, and environmental regulations
- Support field troubleshooting and installation guidance as needed
- Manage assigned territory and key accounts
- Maintain CRM records and sales pipeline reports
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and professional association meetings
Compensation Structure:
- Base salary + commission
- Quarterly/annual performance bonuses
- Vehicle allowance or mileage reimbursement
